About Our Story
OrbitSafety began with a familiar concern: wondering whether the people we care about are safe when they’re out with friends, heading to school, or traveling to work.
Exploring this concern in Mexico led me to look at existing location sharing tools. I noticed that when location updates stopped, it wasn’t always clear whether the information on screen was still reliable. That uncertainty inspired me to explore a better way to help families stay informed and know when to check in.

Milestones

First Milestone
Our first milestone is to develop and test the first OrbitSafety prototype, starting with a companion app that helps families understand when shared location information is no longer up to date.

Second Milestone
Alongside the app, we’re exploring a connected safety wristband and an OBD reader for vehicle awareness. Testing and feedback will help shape these concepts as we work toward launch.
